SMART Process
Engagement Process
Below is an outline of our typical engagement process. Each
engagement will vary in nature and from customer to customer, depending on the
specifics of your organization. However, the total time commitment, not
including training time, is expected
to be less than 4 to 5 hours of your time for the entire
process.
- Initial engagement
A New Horizons of St Louis
representative will meet with your organization’s subject matter experts and
sponsors to provide an initial overview of the tool and process.
- Discuss
SMART Assessment Process A short demonstration will be scheduled for you to gain an understanding of the
ease-of-use and benefits of
New Horizons of St Louis
’s assessment tool.
- Choose
individuals in IT department to assess
At this point, you will select the individuals in your organization and project
team to be assessed.
- Engage
with
New Horizons of St Louis
(Time commitment: approx. 30 minutes)
New Horizons of St Louis
will follow up with you (either in person or via conference call) to work
through the SMART assessment tool process.
- Assessment
Definition (Time commitment: approx. 1 hour)
Together, you and
New Horizons of St Louis
will define and build the skills matrix for your organization’s assessment.
New Horizons of St Louis
will work directly with you in designing the specifics around the project
requirements.
- Take
the Assessment (Time commitment: approx. 10-30 minutes)
New Horizons of St Louis
will send you an email with the URL for the assessment, and the identified
individuals in your organization will take the assessment.
New Horizons of St Louis
will then analyze the report and create a learning plan for your organization
based on its needs.
- New Horizons of St Louis
reviews the learning solution with you (Time commitment: approx. 1
hour)
The
New Horizons of St Louis
Account Manager will review the plan, and then convene with you either in
person or via web cast. During this meeting,
New Horizons of St Louis
will review with you the prescribed learning options available to you.
- Select
learning solution
At this point, based on the results of the learning plan, you can choose from a
variety of training solutions including:

Customized instructor-led training class

or a local CTEC

Self-study learning delivered through Mentored Learning
